Lightweight Polyester Denim advantage:
At 160g/m², Lightweight Polyester Denim is a light, stretchy cloth with a denim face and almost none of a denim's weight. The blend is 89% polyester and 11% spandex, so the stretch is high and the recovery is real: it moves in every direction, comes back, and resists creasing, which is what makes it work for pieces that still have to look presentable after a day's wear. Polyester also takes up very little moisture, so the cloth dries quickly and never holds damp. The finish is non-wash, meaning the denim look is built in and your production skips the wash step along with its water and its time. It comes edge-banded, so the roll edges resist curling and ravel, and at 200cm the width gives a generous lay for a cloth this light.
1/ High stretch with real recovery. 11% spandex gives four-way stretch that comes back, so pieces don't distort.
2/ Light and quick-drying. At 160g/m² it stays cool and dries fast, and polyester takes up very little moisture.
3/ Non-wash finish. The denim look is built in, so production skips the wash step and its water and cost.
4/ Edge-banded and wide. Sealed roll edges resist curling and ravel, and 200cm gives a generous lay on a light cloth.

processing recommendations
Lightweight Polyester Denim processing recommendations:
- Relax the roll before cutting. With 11% spandex the cloth is highly elastic and distorts if it's stretched while being handled or laid.
- Don't lay it too deep. A light, elastic cloth moves under the blade, so shallower lays and a sharp blade cut cleaner than a deep stack.
- Trim the banded edge off cleanly. The banding is there to hold the roll edge, not to go into the garment.
- Keep the press cool and off the face. Polyester glazes under heat: too much and the surface takes a permanent shine.
- Sample and wash before bulk. Check recovery, shrinkage, and whether the non-wash finish still reads as intended after your own wash programme.
