Durable Polyester Denim advantage:
At 280g/m², Durable Polyester Denim is a mediumweight cloth with the denim look on both faces and no wash process needed to get there. The blend is 86% polyester, 12% viscose and 2% spandex: polyester for strength and abrasion resistance, viscose to soften the hand and give it a proper drape rather than a slick synthetic feel, and a little spandex for recovery. Since both sides carry the finish there's no wrong side, which opens up reversible designs and unlined pieces where the reverse would normally have to be hidden. It resists creasing, so it still looks presentable at the end of a working day. On market direction: this sits where demand is moving, in athleisure and travel wear that has to be light-care and hard-wearing, in uniform and casual workwear programmes, and in ranges that want the denim look without the cost and water of a wash line.
1/ Built to last. An 86% polyester base gives strength and abrasion resistance, and the cloth resists creasing.
2/ Viscose in the blend. 12% viscose softens the hand and adds drape, so it doesn't read as a plain synthetic.
3/ Double-sided and non-wash. Both faces carry the denim look, so there's no wrong side, and the finish skips the wash step.
4/ Edge-banded and 185cm wide. Sealed roll edges resist curling and ravel, and the width lays out efficiently.

- Decide which face is the face before you lay. Both sides carry the finish, so the wrong choice only shows up at the cutting table.
- Relax the roll before cutting. It's a knit and it will move, and a day on the table saves a re-cut later.
- Trim the banded edge off cleanly. The banding holds the roll edge; it isn't meant to go into the garment.
- Keep the press cool and off the fabric. Polyester glazes under heat and viscose marks easily, so too much heat will show on the surface.
- Sample and wash before bulk. Confirm the non-wash finish still reads as intended, and check shrinkage and creasing.
