- Support the cloth at the needle. At this weight it can be drawn down into the plate, so hold it in front and behind and ease the foot pressure.
- Anchor the lay. A 200g/m² viscose drifts across a smooth table, so tissue underneath or a vacuum bed keeps the plies where you put them.
- Match the seam to the cloth. Lightweights show every pucker, so test the seam type and stitch density on an offcut first.
