The twill grain gives it the grain and body of a woven, and with 10.5% spandex against 42.5% cotton and 47% polyester, it stretches properly and comes back rather than sagging at the knee or seat. Sulfur dyed, which is where the look comes from: a deep, slightly muted blue with a vintage cast rather than a flat modern indigo. It holds shape well enough for leggings and skinny fits, and has enough structure for jackets and wide-leg cuts, so a single quality covers pieces that normally need two. The hand is clean and unfussy, which suits simple, urban shapes: nothing on the cloth competes with the cut.

Mid-weight twill denim processing recommendations:

1. Let the roll relax before cutting. At 10.5% spandex this knit will move, and a day on the table saves a re-cut later.
2. The twill line is the grain. Keep every panel running the same way through the marker, or shade will shift under light.
3. Agree the shade on a washed sample. Sulfur dyes keep developing through washing, so what you confirm dry is not always what you ship.
4. Low heat on the press, and no direct plate contact. Ten percent spandex and a hot plate are a bad combination.
5. Check rubbing fastness after washing, not only before. Sulfur shades are the ones that show crocking first.
