1. Relax and pre-shrink before the cutting table. With this much cotton and no spandex to pull it back, shrinkage is the main risk.
2. Fit the machine to a heavy cloth. A needle and thread suited to the weight, and feed it without drag, or the seams will pucker.
3. Remember there's no stretch to give. Panels won't recover the way a spandex blend does, so handle and sew without tension.
4. On a 200cm width, check the shade across the full width. Wide lays are where edge-to-centre variation shows up first.
5. Sample and wash before bulk, including the wash programme you plan to run. Shrinkage is the number worth confirming early.
